Nexus Studios’ directors Smith & Foulkes have partnered with Grey London in creating two beautifully crafted animated films, ‘Crane’ and ‘Brows’ for McVitie’s ‘Sweeter Together’ campaign.
Using modern day fables of characters who feel disconnected, the two spots show how the simple act of sharing biscuits has the power to bring people together.
The campaign breaks on national television in the UK and the Republic of Ireland on March 9 with ‘Crane’, a 60 second film telling the story of a lonely crane operator who reconnects with his colleagues on the ground via a special crane delivery of tea and McVitie’s biscuits.
The second film, ‘Brows’ tells the story of a woman whose first day in a new job is made less intimidating when a new colleague breaks the ice with a joke and a packet of McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes.

“It was nice working with such an expressive set of characters and the challenge of trying to keep the interest in a story when, in the case of crane operator Rod, a character doesn’t move from one chair.
